Sultan Qaboos bin Saeed of Oman received Monday at Bait Al Baraka here, General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces who is currently visiting Oman. The meeting, which was also attended by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, dealt with a review of the bilateral relations and ways of enhancing cooperation between the Two countries, according to the UAE News Agency "WAM". Sheikh Mohammed expressed pleasure at meeting Sultan Qaboos and Omani officials, saying that the United Arab Emirates (UAE), under the wise leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, had always sought to strengthen fraternal ties with the leadership and people of Oman. Sheikh Mohammed stressed the importance of exchanging visits to further deepen ties between the two brotherly countries. He also emphasized the need to open more avenues for cooperation in all fields, the joint coordination and continuous support to the special bonds between Oman and the UAE. He described relations between the two countries as "a perfect example for well-founded ties on the basis of true fraternity, mutual trust and respect and common interests." Sheikh Mohammed also met with Fahd bin Mahmud Al-said, Oman"s Deputy Prime Minister for Cabinet Affairs, Asaad bin Tariq Al Said, the Sultan"s Representative and Ali bin Hamad Al-busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of the Ruler Court. They discussed means to strengthen bilateral relations, as well as other topics of mutual interest.
