Two policemen were shot and killed Saturday by unidentified gunmen near the outskirts of the northern Iraqi city of Mosul, security officials said. The officials also reported the kidnapping of a person in the centre of the city, some 400 kilometres from the capital - Baghdad. The officials gave no further details of the attack on the policemen or the kidnapping, which took place late Friday, according to a report of the German News Agency "DPA".
