Representatives of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) customers from around the globe visited Saudi Aramco headquarters and industrial facilities recently to see firsthand the company and its employees. Twenty-two visitors representing 13 LPG customers from around the world attended PS&MD's event and gained a better understanding of the company's LPG export operations. The first Saudi Aramco LPG Customer Gathering was hosted by the Product Sales and Marketing Department (PS&MD). Twenty-two visitors, including three from Saudi Aramco overseas offices, representing 13 companies from six nations participated in the two-day function, with the theme, “LPG Export Operations … Count On Us.” “Our first and foremost commitment is to ensure that Saudi Aramco remains the most reliable supplier of energy to the world,” said Dawood M. Al-Dawood, vice president of Marketing, Supply and Joint Venture Coordination, in welcoming the guests. On behalf of Saudi Aramco management, he thanked the visitors for their longstanding business relationship and emphasized Saudi Aramco's reliability, operational flexibility and stability, which, he said, distinguishes Saudi Aramco from all others. PS&MD manager Sulaiman M. Ababtain highlighted the importance of the gathering in solidifying the company's relationships with its customers and in providing a better understanding of LPG export operations. “We want our customers to be able to utilize the capabilities of our export system so that they are able to optimize their procurement operations,” he said. Participants visited the Oil Supply Planning and Scheduling control room, where they were greeted by senior vice president of Refining, Marketing and International Khalid G. Al-Buainain. The group later toured the Saudi Aramco Exhibit before traveling to Ras Tanura Refinery, according to a report carried by Saudi Aramco"s web-site.
