1st Int"l Symposium on Transplant & Immunology

King Fahd Specialist Hospital will organize on Sunday the two-day Dammam International Transplant and Immunology Symposium and Workshop to be held in Meridian Hotel, Al Khobar.
On the sideline of the event will be Labmas and Epitope Workshops for HLA Lab technologists/specialist.
Rabab Ali AlAttas, MD,Chair of Organizing Committee,Head of Immunology & A histocompatibility (HIL) lab Department pathology and laboratory medicine, KFSH said the topics for discussion will include the immune system in relation to transplantation, advanced laboratory techniques applied to transplantation and innovations in genomics and proteomics in transplant medicine. The latest in pharmacological immunosuppression and many other topics at the cutting edge of stem cell cellular and solid organ transplantation will also be discussed.
The 1st Transplant Symposium will provide transplanter, pathologist, immunologist, nephrologists, hepatologist and oncologist and all type of HLA Lab personnel with advanced knowledge in all aspects of transplantation, and will explore the cutting edge knowledge and innovation in Basic science relating to human immunology and transplant biology,Manipulation of immune system to minimize graft rejection, Proteomic and Genomic in transplant in addition to Cord blood and other cell therapy.
The Symposium will provide an excellent platform to discuss and explore the innovations in transplantation. It will also provide the opportunity of meeting leading Scientists and Physicians in the field of Transplantation, Dr.Rabab Ali AlAttas.
The Symposium will also accredit CME hours for The Saudi Arabian Health Specialists and other esteemed entities.
On his part, Dr Faisal Shaheen, President of the Saudi Organ Transplant Authority lauded KFSH"s achievements in a very short span of time to set an example for other health establishments on prospects of initiating excellent organ transport program whenever wise administration and potentials are available.
