million contract to UAE firm Dubai, December 27, 2009 (SPA) -- India"s oil exploration firm "ONGC" has awarded a $162 Million engineering and construction contract for an oil well platform project at the Mumbai High Field to Abu Dhabi-based National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC), UAE"s official news agency "WAM" has said. The work will consist of survey, design and detailed engineering, procurement, fabrication, transportation, installation, hook-up, pre-commissioning and commissioning of under-sea pipelines and composite under-sea cables. The project will be completed by April 2011, the Press Trust of India (PTI) quoted "WAM" as saying. In October this year, NPCC signed a contract with ONGC for the construction of B-22-3 Wellhead Platforms with pipeline and modification works. The contract value is approximately 1 billion UAE Dirhams and the project is to be completed by April 2011, said Aqeel Madhi, NPCC Chief Executive Officer.
