The Secretary General of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Abdulrahman Al-Atiyyah has stressed that the preparatory ministerial meetings have completed drafting the final Communiqué to be adopted by the GCC leaders summit scheduled here later today. In a statement on Sunday evening to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Al-Atiyyah said that the meetings discussed topics on economic and political issues; environment as well as military and security cooperation and coordination and dialogues with some friendly countries and groups. On the Gulf single currency, he noted that the topic is moving ahead well as required after its ratification by the concerned states, adding that a monetary council will be formed for launching the single currency at an appropriate time.
