The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud was awarded the Arab Federation for Libraries and Information (AFLI) Prize 2009. The award was received by Saudi Ambassador to Morocco Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Bisher during a ceremony held last night in Casablanca, Morocco, on the sidelines of the 20th AFLI Conference. The King was awarded the AFLI Prize in recognition of his role in the support for libraries, information technology, cultural, intellectual and educational activities. The ceremony was attended by a number of officials.
