The number of A/H1N1 flu cases in Spain continued to decline sharply, Xinhua quoted the Spanish Ministry of Health as saying. The week between Nov. 29 and Dec. 5 saw the second fall in two weeks in the incidence of A/H1N1 flu in Spain. The data backs up the Spanish government"s prediction that A/H1N1cases would peak at the end of November. The level of infection now stands at 151.42 cases per 100,000 inhabitants with 67,665 new cases registered during the week, according to figures released by the health ministry. A week earlier the level of infection stood at 243.71 cases per 100,000 with 105.304 new cases reported. The virus has now claimed a total of 208 lives in Spain, although the mortality rate remains low at 0.18 deaths per 1000 cases.
