The United Arab Emirates (UAE) will be a chair of the Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC) from 2010 in the framework of rotational presidency of the OAPEC among 10 country-members. The announcement was made at the conclusion of the Ministerial Council meeting of the OAPEC, which was held in Cairo today, the UAE news agency "WAM" reported. The Ministerial Council of the Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC) has also endorsed the budgets of OAPEC and the judicial authority of the organization of year 2010: 2million dinars and 34. 819 million Kuwaiti dinars respectively. It said the member countries will take part at the Copenhagen Climate Conference, which will be held from Dec. 7- 18. The council was briefed on a special study on oil refinery and another study on the development of natural gas resources in the Arab countries. The next OAPEC meeting will be held in Sharm El Sheikh on Dec. 11, 2010.
