More and more senior officials and dignitaries continue to praise Monday"s and Wednesday"s royal orders, issued by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud respectively, announcing war on negligence and building of 10,000 housing units for the affected in the aftermath of the tragic deaths and injury of many people and the destruction of properties due to the fall of rain, the monarch described as not disastrous, on some parts of Jeddah Province.
In separate statements, they described the order to form a high-level investigating and fact-finding committee as prudent and wise, attributing it to the commitment of the Kingdom"s leadership to Sharia law and the Prophet"s instructions.
They said such a decision could not be issued unless the country was run by a sincere leader who embodies the great responsibility assigned on him by Allah Almighty.
The order for the Ministry of Finance to pay one million Saudi Riyal to first of kin or relatives of each of the deceased with immediate effect was much valued by those officials, dignitaries and citizens.
Following the royal order, people were much relieved and satisfied, a wide-spread feeling that the leader of Saudi Arabia is honest to his God, people and guests, they said, adding that the strong order for the committee to expedite its strict duty was also appreciated.
They also lauded the King"s order to set up 10,000 residential units to shelter those displaced following skirmishes between infiltrators across the Kingdom"s southern border and the Saudi army, which now controls the situation.
They extended sympathy to the families of the deceased and the injured.
Those who gave statements to the Saudi Press Agency were Prince Turki bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz, General President of the Meteorology and Environmental Protection; Prince Mishaal bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Najran Region; Mohammed bin Fahd bin Sueilam, Undersecretary of Najran Region Governorate; a number of government officials in Najran Region; Director General of Islamic Affairs Branch in Jazan Region; Director General of Civil Defense in Jazan and a number of governmental officials in Jazan Region.
