Those displaced by extraordinary circumstances are now due to permanently breathe a new life following the monarch"s humanitarian gesture, SPA reports from the field
Published in Saudi Press Agency on 02 - 12 - 2009

Reporters and correspondents of the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) felt the overwhelming feelings of relief and satisfaction of governors, senior and minor officials, dignitaries and ordinary citizens of Jazan Region over the decision of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, ordering the immediate building of new homes for as many as 10,000 families displaced in Jazan Region following the all-of-a-sudden infiltration of some terrorists across the Kingdom"s southern border with Yemen.
Back to Jeddah after having closely supervised a successful Hajj, described by all observers as epidemic free, the monarch ordered last Monday the formation of a high-level fact-finding committee to probe the reasons and identify the responsible for causing the human disaster following torrential rain on Jeddah Province. The decisions topped the world news over the last few days. Today, the king stunned them by inspecting the frontlines of the Saudi armed forces controlling the situation on the southern border and ordering the quick establishment of permanent homes for thousands of persons now residing in temporary shelters in the vicinity of their previous villages.
In remarks to SPA on the latest development, Prince Mohammed bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Jazan Region, said the monarch has devoted his time to the service of his people, emanating from the responsibility bestowed upon him by Allah Almighty and the allegiance-pledge of his people.
For his part, Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz, Director of the International Relations Department at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, described the order of setting up 10,000 residential units for the needy in Jazan Region as just one within a series of the King"s prudent decisions.
Prince Colonel Staff Faisal bin Mohammed bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz, noted the echo of the royal order among the people of Jazan Region.
Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Suwayed, Undersecretary of Jazan Region Governorate described the royal order as a kind parental gesture. His assistant Dr. Abdulrahman bin Ali Nasheb expressed his pleasure of the royal order, appealing to Allah Almighty to make it a new future for those people.
Awaji Majrashi, one of the displaced, said "what a difference between today and yesterday. We were miserable few time ago, but now we feel that honorable life has stretched before us following the King"s order."
Mohammed Hazazi and his family who took to the endless streets of the unknown following the buzzing of guns in their once-quiet area, expressed pleasure that the King has turned the disaster to happiness.
They said all the displaced are now praying to Allah Almighty to preserve the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
