A magnitude 5.5 earthquake struck Venezuela on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported, according to Reuters.
It said the quake, 6.2 miles (9.9 km) below the surface, was centered 32 miles (51.5 km) northwest of Barquisimeto and struck at 3:15 a.m. (0815 GMT)
