48 persons died as a result of heavy rains and floods in the governorates of Jeddah, Makkah, and Rabegh in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Wednesday. In its statement, the Directorate-General of Civil Defense in Makkah region pointed out that more than 900 persons were rescued, noting that heavy rains and floods resulted in the collapse of some weak houses and sweeping away a number of cars.
