Janadriya, outskirts of Riyadh, Nov 17, 2009, SPA -- In a long and in-depth meeting, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and President Nicolas Sarkozy of the French Republic discussed aspects of cooperation between the two friendly countries and ways of enhancing them in all fields, particularly the economic field. At the farm of the monarch in Al-Janadriya this evening, the two leaders also discussed the overall situations in the Middle East, topped by the developments of the Palestinian issue and the efforts being exerted to achieve a fair and comprehensive peace in the region according to the international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative. The two leaders lauded the formation of the new Lebanese government, considering it a move leading to strong support and enhancement for Lebanon"s national unity and achievement of security and prosperity for Lebanon and the Lebanese. The talks also tackled the overall regional and international incidents and developments and the position of each of the two countries towards them. For his part, Sarkozy confirmed the right of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to maintain its sovereignty and territorial integrity and to defend its land and security of its citizens.
