Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan received yesterday visiting Colombian Foreign Minister Jaime Bermudez for talks over mechanisms of boosting bilateral cooperation. They also exchanged views on a range of regional and international issues of mutual concern, according to a report of the UAE news agency "WAM". Sheikh Abdullah hoped Bermudez"s visit would further strengthen bilateral relations in all fields. The Colombian Foreign Minister highlighted the outcome of the recent trip made by Sheikh Abdullah to Colombia where he held talks with its President and senior officials. He said Colombia was intending to open a diplomatic mission in Abu Dhabi next year and organize a cultural festival in the UAE. He added that his visit to the UAE would open up new avenues of joint cooperation in various domains. Bermudez also expressed Colombia"s desire to broaden its economic and investment cooperation with member countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) in general and the UAE in particular.
