US Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton was scheduled to visit the Philippines next week, her Filipino counterpart said Saturday. Clinton was to arrive in Manila Thursday for a two-day visit before heading to Singapore for next weekend"s Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation summit, Foreign Secretary Alberto Romulo was quoted as saying by the German News Agency "DPA". Romulo said among the issues he would be discussing with the US Secretary of State were disaster management, the peace process in the southern Philippine region of Mindanao, climate change and nuclear non-proliferation.
