A criminal case was opened over the crash of an Ilyushin Il-76 aircraft of the Russian Interior Ministry Forces in Yakutia, Itar-Tass quoted a source at the republican department of the Prosecutor General's Office Investigation Committee as saying. Flight recorders were found on the crash scene, 2.5 kilometers away from the Mirny airport. Forensic experts continue to examine the place. The crash killed all the eleven people on board - seven crewmembers and four backups. The Il-76 brought a cargo to Mirny and was due to transport Interior Ministry Forces servicemen to the North Caucasus. The weather was fine, with temperatures minus 24 degrees Centigrade, when the crash occurred. --SPA
