Unidentified gunmen opened fire at a VAZ-21099 car carrying several servicemen from a motorized regiment deployed in Ingushetia at about 3.30 p.m. Moscow time on Thursday in a municipal district of Ingushetia's city of Nazran. Two servicemen died of wounds on the spot, another one was hospitalized with a wound, a source in the republican Interior Ministry told Itar-Tass on Thursday. A group of investigators are working at the scene. The search operation for the attackers is underway. Russian servicemen have come under fire already for the second time on Thursday. An unidentified gunman fired at two servicemen of the Interior Troops at about 2 p.m. Moscow time on the Caucasus federal highway. They received bullet wounds and were hospitalized after the shootout. At first the interior troops got into a traffic accident. They went out of the car and were standing nearby. At this moment two shots were made probably from a sniper rifle. The attackers are seeking to destabilize the situation in the republic, the source said.
