Four members of a family, including three children, died when their self-built house caught fire at 2:50 a.m. Tuesday in Urumqi, capital of northwest China"s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Xinhua quoted local police as saying. A 41-year-old man, his two sons aged 8 and 15, and his 13-year-old daughter died in the blaze, said a spokesman with the Urumqi City Public Security Bureau. The fire was caused by a stove that ignited a rush mat on the bed, it said. The 70-square-meter brick-and-wood house was almost totally destroyed, local police said. --SPA
