Saudi Ambassador to Australia Hassan Talaat Nazer has welcomed the initiative of the government of Australian State of Queensland to provide academic grants to Saudi students and private sector employees wishing to study in Australia as well as the increase of cooperation between universities and training institutes in the two countries. This came during a meeting with Assistant Minister of Education for International Education and Training, a number of officials in the education sectors and directors of universities in State of Queensland. Nazer pointed at the positive atmosphere during the meeting on intensifying cooperation in the field of education investment between the two countries, providing Saudi scholarship holders with all facilities and supporting joint investments in various sectors, especially in the fields of education and technology. Nazer also valued the positive results of the visit paid recently by Premier of Queensland Peter Beattie to the Kingdom.
