Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired here today the weekly cabinet meeting held at the Yamamah Palace. At the outset of the meeting, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques briefed the cabinet on the talks, consultations and contacts he had over the last few days with a number of leaders or their envoys including the message he received from Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency following the meeting, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja, the Minister of Culture and Information, said the cabinet listened to a report on the visit paid by Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz to Egypt and the consultations he made with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak; Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Nadeef as well as Minister of Interior Habib Al Adli. He added that the cabinet was also briefed on the security, commercial and scientific agreements signed during the visit. Dr. Khoja added that the cabinet also listened to a report on the results of the 6th meeting of interior ministers of Iraq"s neighboring countries held in Egypt. The cabinet expressed hope that the results and recommendations of the meeting will help enhance Iraq"s security and stability. The cabinet was also briefed on the recommendations reached at the conference by Islamic countries" culture ministers held recently in Azerbaijan. The cabinet stressed the Muslim World"s initiatives, efforts and stances on boosting dialogue among different religions and cultures; stressing once more that such initiatives call for peace, tolerance and mutual respect and reject all sorts of violence and extremism. -- More-- SPA
