Six Iraqi policemen were killed and 12 injured Saturday in separate attacks near the Iraqi cities of Falluja and Kirkuk, according to dpa. In Falluja four policemen were killed and ten wounded when a bomb targeted their truck, security sources told the German Press Agency dpa. In the northern city of Kirkuk, two policemen were killed and two civilians injured by a roadside bomb in the Huwaija area. Earlier, in Ramadi, west of Baghdad, a bridge was blown up on the highway between Iraq, Syria and Jordan. A local police source told dpa that a loaded truck exploded on the bridge.
