On behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Prince Khalid Al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Makkah Region, patronized here on Sunday evening the conclusion ceremony of King Abdulaziz 31st International Competition for the Holy Quran Memorization, Recitation and Interpretation. The ceremony was attended by Minister of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance Sheikh Salih bin Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Al-Sheikh. Addressing the ceremony, Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz to the officials in charge of the competition as well as winners. The Prince considered such a competition as an honor bestowed by Allah Almighty upon the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia which spares no efforts in the service of Islam and Muslims as well as the Holy Quran since its foundation by late King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman (Mercy be upon his soul) who founded the Kingdom on Islam as Sharia and the Holy Quran and Prophet's Sunnah (Tradition) as a constitution. On his part, Sheikh Salih commended the King, the Crown Prince and the Second Deputy Premier for their interest in all Islamic works that promote Islam and support Muslims all over the world.
