Presided over by its chairman Dr. Abdullah Al Asheikh, the Shoura Council held here today its 45th ordinary session. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Council's Secretary General Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Ghamdi said the Council continued discussion of the report presented by the Committee for Islamic and Judiciary Affairs and Human Rights on legal court proceedings, criminal procedures and pleas addressed to the Board of Grievances. He added that the Council is scheduled to further discuss the first draft of the criminal procedures on Monday. He also added that the Council listened to a report by the Council member Musa Al Salim on the Council's participation in the Conference of Parliamentarians for UNESCO and Partners Forum held in Paris this month. The Council also listened to a report by Dr. Mohammed Al Hilwa regarding the Council's participation in the Inter-Arab Parliament's second ordinary session held in Damascus last September. -- SPA
