Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Atiyyah, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council on Monday condemned the suicide bombing attack at the U.N. food agency's office in Islamabad that killed at least five staff members. In a statement, Al-Atiyyah denounced in the strongest words the attack at the office of the World Food Program in Islamabad, describing it as a terrible tragedy for the whole humanitarian community in Pakistan. “This is a heinous crime committed against those who have been working tirelessly to assist the poor and the vulnerable on the frontlines of hunger and other human suffering in Pakistan,” he added.
