Hamdan said the participants of the conference will review the issue of freedom of publication in the Arab world. He noted that freedom of publication in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is good either in the field of press or in the field of books. Al-Hamdan pointed out that the international publishers union will vote on Oct 15, 2009 for the admission of the Kingdom to the union. He lauded the system of combating piracy in the Kingdom and the existing cooperation between the Saudi publishers society and the administration of rights of author at the ministry of culture and information in this respect.
