USGS reports 6.3 quake in Peru, close to Bolivia

A magnitude 6.3 quake
struck in southeastern Peru today, close to Bolivia's
capital of La Paz, Reuters quoted the U.S. Geological Survey as reporting.
It said the quake, fairly deep at 160.3 miles (258 km),
occurred about 100 miles (162 km) northwest of La Paz.
There was no immediate report of damage or casualties.
