Saudi Ambassador to Mauritania Saud bin Abdulaziz Al-Jabri held a reception party here last night marking the 79th anniversary of the National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The party was attended a number of Mauritanian ministers and officials, ambassadors of Arab and foreign countries accredited to Mauritania, and members of culture and media. The Ambassador congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince, the Second Deputy Premier and government and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on this occasion. He said, "We are celebrating in this anniversary, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the modern progress of Saudi Arabia, the national development and the Kingdom's position among the ranks of advanced nations." Ambassador Al-Jabri noted that the opening of King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) has been a live- evidence of the gigantic achievements of the King's prosperous era. He indicated that the Kingdom has provided the best conditions, services and facilities to pilgrims, Umrah performers and visitors of the Prophet's Mosque through the expansion of the holy places to perform their rituals easily and comfortably. The Ambassador talked about the great efforts exerted by the Kingdom under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to solve the issues of Arab and Muslim nations. He also commended the King's initiatives for the service of humanity and his patronage of dialogue between followers of religions and civilizations in the world. He praised strong relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Mauritania, noting that the leaderships of the two countries have been working for their further enhancement in various fields.
