Lebanese newspapers commended today King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) describing it as a scientific edifice, which is rare in the world and can be compared with great research universities around the world particularly in the United States of America. Al-Nahar newspaper described the University as a distinguished and unique scientific edifice in the Arab region, quoting the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud as saying that the University is not only one of the most modern and equipped university in the world, but it will link the past with the present. On her part, Al-Mustaqbal newspaper said this scientific and research edifice can be compared with major research universities in the world, particularly in the United States such as Harvard, Princeton, Columbia and Chicago. It noted that the University aims to directly serve the improvement of scientific, economic, industrial and technological environment in Saudi Arabia and Arab and Muslim countries in the world.
