Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulmohsen Al-Turki, Secretary General of the Makkah-based Muslim World League (MWL), left Jeddah today heading for Geneva to supervise preparations for MWL-sponsored third international conference on inter-faith dialogue scheduled for this European country from September 30 through October 01, 2009. In a statement to mark the occasion, the MWL's Secretariat General said this is the league's third international dialogue organized by MWL after Makkah and Madrid upon directives and patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. This time the conference will be held under the theme " Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques initiative for dialogue and its impact on promotion of humanitarian values", the statement said. In a departure statement in Jeddah, Al-Turki said it is time to study the impact of the initiative of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques professed in Makkah and Madrid and continue dialogue on the same issue. He said the conference will discuss a number of papers including the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques initiative for dialogue and its impact on promotion of humanitarian values; dialogue, human being and society; civilization dialogue in the contemporary humanitarian society; aspects of co-existence among civilizations; the impact of religious values in reforming of societies; and the role of media in enhancing dialogue and humanitarian values.
