Dr. Abdulaziz Othman Altwaijri, the Director General of ISESCO, met today in Brussels Mr. Jacques Barrot, the Vice-president of the European Commission. During this audience, the Director General of ISESCO explored with Mr. Jacques Barrot the ways of forging partnership and cooperation with the European Commission in developmental areas for the benefit of ISESCO Member States, as well as the role of ISESCO in coordinating and stimulating partnership between the European Commission and national institutions in ISESCO Member States in the areas of education, science, technology, culture, communication and information. The two parties agreed to carry on coordination and consultation towards the preparation of an integrated framework for cooperation between ISESCO and the European Commission. This meeting was attended by Mr. Jean-Paul Carteron, ISESCO's Goodwill Ambassador for Dialogue of Cultures and President of the Crans-Montana Forum.
