A pregnant woman in Taiwan died of A/H1N1 influenza on Sunday, bringing the island's flu death toll to 17, Xinhua quoted the local epidemic control authorities as saying today. The 23-year-old woman developed cold-related symptoms on Sept. 15 and was sent to hospital on Sept. 17 in eastern Taidong County. After medical treatment, her temperature returned to normal and she was sent back home, according to local media report. On Sunday, the woman's illness deteriorated and she died while being transferred to a hospital. Her eight-month-old foetus was also dead.
