Chinese Ambassador holds press briefing

Chinese Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Yang Honglin held press briefing at the Chinese Embassy here today on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
During the press briefing, Ambassador Honglin congratulated Saudi Arabia's leadership, government and people on the 79th National Day of the Kingdom.
He praised the cooperative relations between the two countries in various fields, especially after the visit of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to China in January 2006 and the visit of President Hu Jintao to the Kingdom last February.
Ambassador Honglin stressed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is the biggest strategic partner of China in West Asia, pointing out that over the last year, China imported six million tons of oil from the Kingdom.
