President of the People's Republic of China Hu Jintao arrived here today on a three-day official visit to the Kingdom. At Riyadh Airbase Airport, President Jintao was received by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The reception was attended by Prince Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Ayyaf Al Muqrin, Mayor of Riyadh; Chief of Protocol Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Tubaishi; Saudi Ambassador to China Yahya AbdulKarim Al Zaid as well as Chinese Ambassador to the Kingdom Yang Honglin. Preceded by the National Anthems for both countries, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Chinese President reviewed the Guard of Honor. Then, the Chinese President shook hands with Prince Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, Prince Miteb bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs, Prince Saud Alfaisal, the Foreign Minister, a number of other princes, a number of ministers and senior officials. Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques also shook hands with the delegation accompanying President Jintao. Then, the King ushered his guest to the VIP Terminal at the airport where they met 12 children survivors of the earthquake hit China's Sichuan Province. The King, who was thanked for the kingdom's relief aid and support, presented them with gifts. After a short break at the airport, President Hu Jintao left for his place of residence in Riyadh. President Jintao was accompanied by a number of Chinese officials.
