The Arab League announced that its Secretary General Amr Moussa will head to New York on Monday to take part in the United Nations (UN) General Assembly. Director of the secretary general's office Ambassador Hisham Yousef said in a press conference today that the new term of the UN General Assembly will be important because it will discuss several Arab issues including the Mideast peace process. Moussa will also be participating in meeting on environmental issues and climate change and a meeting to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), he was quoted as saying by Kuwait News Agency "KUNA".
