Nine people were confirmed dead and six others injured after a farm produce market caught fire Sunday morning in northeast China's Jilin province, Xinhua quoted local government sources as saying. The fire occurred at around 9:00 a.m. Sunday at a farm produce wholesale market in the downtown area of Meihekou city, Jilin Province, leaving nine people dead and six others injured. All of the injured have been hospitalized. The fire was put out at around 10:30 a.m., and the cause of the fire is being investigated.
