Japanese diplomat affirmed on Saturday the readiness of his country to prop up Yemeni efforts in area of enhancing the capacities of coastguards, Saba reported. During his meeting with Interior Minister Rashad al-Masri, Japanese ambassador to Yemen Masakazu Toshikage said that the Yemeni efforts to combat piracy are the best means to encounter piracy and secure the marine routes. Yemeni Minister al-Masri appreciated the Japanese assistance to Yemen, hailing the distinctive ties linking Yemen and Japan.
