Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the President of Higher Education Council, has approved the establishment of four universities in the city of Dammam and the provinces of Kharj, Shaqrah and Majmaah. This was stated to Saudi Press Agency by Minister of Higher Education Dr. Khalid bin Mohammad Ala'nqari. The minister extended thanks to the king for his constant support for educational institutions. The minister explained that the Higher Education Council has decided to approve the establishment of four universities. The first university in the city of Dammam will include the 24 colleges in the city of Dammam and the provinces of Qatif, Jubail, Hafr Albatin, Nairiah and Khafji. The second university in Kharj will include the 20 colleges in the provinces of Kharj, Dilam, Aflaj, Wadi Aldwasir, Hawtat Bani Tamim and Solail. The third university in Shaqra will include the 21 colleges in the provinces of Shaqra, Hraimola, Quwaia'yeh, Dwadmi, Sajir, Dorma, A'fif, Thadiq and Almahmal. The fourth university in Majmaah will include the 12 colleges in the provinces of Majmaah, Alghat, Alzolfi, Sodair and Rmah.
