Several Saudi universities have added their names to those reserving places for persons who have suffered kidney failure, bringing the total number available across the Kingdom to 7,300. “The universities of Shaqra, Al-Majmaah, Dammam and Al-Kharj have each agreed to reserve 200 seats, while Prince Muhammad Bin Fahd University and Prince Sultan Private University have both pledged ten seats,” said Muhammad Al-Saleh, Secretary General of the Higher Education Council. Al-Saleh, who is also the chief educational program supervisor for the Prince Salman Charity, said the places were open to kidney patients, persons who have had kidney transplants and transplant donors, as well as all of their immediate family members.
