The U.N. relief agency says the United States is giving US$1.2 million in financial aid to Palestinian refugees coming from Iraq to Syria. The U.N. Relief and Work Agency _ or UNRWA _ says $957,000 would be paid in cash to refugees and the rest would go for rebuilding a social development center in the Yarmouk refugee camp in Damascus, according to a report of The Associated Press. UNRWA said in a statement Monday that the center caters to 135,700 Palestinian refugees.
