1st Patient of Swine Flu in Yemen Dies

Yemen's Minister of Public Health and Population Dr. Abdulkarim Yahya has announced the death of the first case of swine flu (H1 N1) of a Yemeni man (40 years old) after contacting with one of his relatives who came from the United States of America.
In a statement to Yemen News Agency "SABA," the Minister pointed out that the patient started feeling the symptoms of fever, cold and pneumonia on August 10; he was admitted to a private hospital, but his health deteriorated rapidly and he did not respond to medication until he died.
It is noteworthy that the number of the N1H1-cases announced in Yemen has reached 16 patients.
