Kyodo News agency reports Japan has recorded its first swine flu-related death. Kyodo said Saturday a man in 50s who had swine flu died on Okinawa in southern Japan, becoming the country's first death linked to the virus. The man also suffered from heart and kidney diseases, Kyodo said. It was not clear what the primary cause of his death was. A health ministry official could not confirm the Kyodo report, saying the ministry was waiting for data from health authorities on Okinawa. The ministry said more than 7,300 Japanese have been infected with swine flu.
