The Secretary General of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Atiyyah has commended Kuwaiti security authorities for their distinguished efforts in detecting and thwarting a terrorist plan for blowing up Camp Arifjan, the state security service building, and other facilities. In a press statement, Al-Atiyyah stressed the firm positions of the GCC states, which condemn terrorism in all its forms whatever might be its sources, also affirming fruitful cooperation between GCC security agencies for coordination and the exchange of information to serve security and stability in the region. He called for the necessity of intensifying regional and international cooperation to eradicate the scourge of terrorism to protect humankind from its crimes.
