Members of the Fatah Palestinian organization finished voting Monday in an election crowning the movement's first convention in 20 years, The Associated Press reported. The new members of the organization's central committee are to be announced later in the day. The more than 2,000 delegates to the convention are electing candidates to 18 open seats on the 23-member committee. The committee automatically includes Fatah's leader, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. Delegates are also electing 80 members to a larger body, the 130-seat Revolutionary Council. The conference ends Tuesday.
