Under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the Federation of Arab Publishers in cooperation with Saudi Publishers Association will organize in Riyadh on October 6-7, 2009, the 1st Arab Publishers Conference entitled "The Future of Publishing Industry in the Arab world". In a statement to The Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Prince Turki Al-Faisal, the Association's Honorary President, commended the King's patronage of the Conference, pointing out that this patronage reflects the interest and attention paid by the leadership to the development of this industry. The Prince praised the level of Saudi publishers who occupy important positions among Arab publishers, also hailing the role of the Association and its services to Saudi publishers as well as its cooperation with the Federation of Arab Publishers.
