A number of Arab and Middle-eastern mass-circulation newspapers today continued to highlight the contents of the message the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has recently sent to President Mahmoud Abbas of the Palestinian National Authority as he was addressing the 6th conference of Fatah Movement in Bethlehem. Lebanese, Yemeni, Iranian, Egyptian, Tunisian and Mauritanian newspapers cast light on the sentiments voiced by the King addressed to all Palestinian factions in the name of all Arabs, Muslims and peace-loving people of the entire world. The conservative Iranian daily of Jamhouri Islami, Cairo-based, Al-Jamhoria, Al-Akhbar, Al-Masri, Tunis-based Al-Akhbar weekly, Al-Sareeh and Al-Arab, in addition to almost all newspapers of Lebanon, Yemen and Mauritania highlighted the call of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for Palestinian unity. The papers focused on the King's historical saying that Palestinian inter-difference is more detrimental to the Palestinian cause than the Israeli enemy. The newspapers also underscored the King's words that if all the world's capabilities were mobilized to establish an independent Palestinian state, nothing would happen as long as the Palestinians remain divided. Editorialists and columnists of those newspaper said the King availed himself of the opportunity of Fatah conference to call on all Palestinian rivals to ignore minor differences and come to one word to face their one enemy and address their shared future.
