Saudi Ambassador to Argentina and Uruguay Issam bin Abed Althaqafi has emphasized the importance of Saudi Cultural Days in promoting contacts with other cultures, noting that Saudi Cultural Days due to be held in Argentina and Uruguay on August 7-12 will be the first Arab event of its kind to be organized at the level of South American countries. In a statement to The Saudi Press Agency (SPA), he said that the idea to hold the cultural days in Argentina came in implementation of the royal order in view of its cultural importance and great role at the level of South American countries. The Ambassador noted that preparations and coordination of holding the Saudi Cultural Days have been achieved in cooperation between the Foreign Ministry of Saudi Arabia represented by Saudi Embassy in Buenos Aires and Saudi Ministry of Culture and Information represented by the Department of the Ministry for International Cultural Relations.
