Kuwait's Ministry of Health reported Tuesday 13 new cases of Influenza A (H1N1) which pushed the country's total number of the laboratory-confirmed cases up to 111, KUNA reported. Spokesman for the Ministry Youssef Al-Nisf said "Eight of the new cases proved to have been in contact with swine flu patients and the rest five have arrived in Kuwait recently". The patients, now receiving necessary medication at hospital, are in stable condition, Al-Nisf added. All those who had close contact with them will undergo medical tests as a precautionary measure in line with World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines, he added. The Ministry of Health is closely monitoring the health situation created by swine flu outbreak, Al-Nisf said, pointing out that all necessary measures were being taken to contain the virus.
