Syria's President Meets U.S. Envoy

Syria's President Bashar Al-Assad met here today with U.S. Envoy for Peace Process in the Middle East George Mitchell currently on a visit to Syria in the framework of his tour in the region.
Last Thursday, the Spokesman of U.S. State Department Philip Crowley pointed out that Mitchell's talks aim to see the extent of what Syria is prepared to do for the progress of the comprehensive peace process in the region.
