A head-on collision between a passenger bus and a petrol fuel truck in southern Russia on Friday killed at least 25 persons, the Interfax agency reported, citing police accounts. Initially the agency had reported at least 10 killed, with another 40 persons hospitalized, after the accident near the town of Rostov on the Don river, some 1,000 kilometres south of Moscow. Further details were not immediately available. Acording to officials, the fuel truck had been empty at the time of the crash.
